Effect of Phosphorous and Mulching on Growth and Yield of Zaid Green gram (Vigna radiata L.)

A field experiment was conducted during Zaid 2022 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, SHUATS, Prayagraj (U.P) on the topic “Effect Phosphorous and Mulching Growth Yield Green gram (Vigna radiate L.)”, to study response green under various mulching techniques such as, Saw dust mulching, Paddy Without along with combination Phosphorus (20, 40 60 kg/ha). The results revealed that significant higher plant height (43.24 cm), dry weight (5.32 g) also, significantly number pods/plant (30.8), maximum seeds/pod (11.73), test (31.2 g), seed yield (1.29 t/ha), stover (2.89 Maximum gross return (90,300.00 INR/ha), net (58,915.00 INR/ha) B:C ratio (1.88) were recorded in treatment 7 [Phosphorous (60kg/ha) + Sawdust (22.5kg/ha)].
